EUR acted as the Program Director for the $600 million bond program for capital improvement projects and state matching funds for the Los Angeles Valley College (“LAVC”). In this capacity, we provided oversight responsibilities for all aspects of the program delivery; including support to a professional team that includes: project and construction managers, schedulers, estimators, electronic project management system (ePM) experts, program cost control managers, and administrative support staff. EUR also assisted the College with Board of Trustees approvals, and the College President and its Shared Governance in selecting the most qualified consultants. EUR helped develop best procurement strategies to expedite projects through careful and thorough planning and contract/program management.
Library and Academic Resource Center
This project consisted of the construction of a new 89,000 square foot (sf) Library / Learning Resource Center facility, with reinforced concrete spread footings and grade beams, steel columns and bracing, reinforced concrete slab on grade and structural steel framing. The project scope also included four exterior concrete filled metal pan stairs, one 2-stop hydraulic elevator, and full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. This is a LEED Project.

Student Services Center
This project provides a new 41,200 gross square foot (GSF) Student Services Center Building for the LAVC. The new building will provide space for Financial Aid, Counseling, Admissions and Records, Assessment Center, Career Transfer Center, Business Office, EOPS, DSPS, Personal Development Classrooms, Matric, Student Outreach, ASU, VPSS, Student Assist Center and Placement Center.

Multi-Purpose Community Service Center
This project scope consisted of the construction of a new Community Services Center of approximately 27,000 GSF with multiple functions including exercise, recreation, computer, offices, etc.

Child Development Center
The project consisted of the construction of a 4-structures± 25,900 sf, Type V-non-rated, wood framed, slab on grade, fully fire sprinklered building. The scope of work included demolition, sitework, concrete, CMU, carpentry, roofing, doors and windows, finishes, food service equipment, plumbing, HVAC, electrical wiring, fire protection, security system, and other systems. Site work was 94,786 sf and included demolition, playgrounds & equipment, landscaping, parking areas, ADA improvements, hardscape, fencing, planting, irrigation, utilities and other improvements.

Campus Improvements IT Core
Project Consisted of Interior tenant Improvements in the Campus Center Building and Administration Building to provide a redundant Date Center, as well as Office’s and workspace for the IT Staff. Also, the project included the installation of new air/heating units for the remodeled areas and site infrastructure work.
